To become a registered Test Administrator/Proctor complete the following:

1. Register

Create a StateFoodSafety account for free, which will allow you to access your training and proctor tools.

2. Train

This course is designed to help you:

  • Understand your ethical obligation as a proctor,
  • Follow high ethical standards for proctoring and testing,
  • Evaluate and select appropriate testing locations, and
  • Apply the steps of proctoring before, during, and after an exam session.

Course Length: 25 minutes
Assessment Length: 10 questions
Passing Score: 80%
Test Attempts: Unlimited
Compatible Devices: Computer, tablet, mobile phone (Android, iOS)

3. Apply

Fill out and submit the application form online. You will be notified when you are approved to work as a proctor.

After completing our FSS 1-10, a student could take a Computer Based Examination at one of over 1,500 Pearson VUE computer examination sites in the United States and Canada.
